OOTD// 12 Days Of Christmas Giveaways Day 3

Hello!

It’s starting to get colder here in Minnesota and just had our first large snowfall (I love snow)! There is something about seeing the snowflakes fall that just makes you feel in the holiday spirit! 

Three things I absolutely love about this time of year are:

#1 - Giving to others. I love shopping for others, making people smile, and helping them enjoy a holiday that I love. I already have so many gifts wrapped!

#2 – Spending time with family. I love when all of my family and extended family get together for a good meal, some good laughs, and some good games. Where you can be your absolute self and have a ball! 

#3 – The love. I always feel people are so excited for this time of year because they get a few days off from work, they get to spend time with their loved ones, receive gifts and etc. I love the "Christmas Cheer" that comes around Minnesota during this time. 

#4 - Food. Who doesn't?

I also love the comfy clothes that come with cold weather! I love neutral and soft tones with basic patters and lots and lots of gold! I love gold! Here is an outfit I always wear when I want to be comfortable but look put together.

40 days//Weekend Fun//OOTD

Hey [Loves]!

I know its probably late for me to do a weekend recap but I enjoyed myself too much not to share lol. 

I have been working about 10-12 hour days right now (gotta love Q4) so when I get home I am so pooped! I have been getting home and going straight to bed!

Luckily, I had a nice relaxing weekend to get me prepared:

I hung out with my girlfriends all weekend- which was so great because with how schedules have been, it doesnt get to happen as much as I would like. 

Since I started my cleanse on Monday, on Sunday my best friend and I decided to treat ourselves to homemade cookies ( with added peanut butter M&Ms) and icecream. It was DELISH!

I started my cleanse on Monday- let me tell you- it was so hard. I started the Suero Viv cleanse which basically calls you to drink 6 bottles of their probiotic cultured whey beverage and no food or other drinks. It was hard for me to do it because I have never done a cleanse before so I think I was a little aggressive with thinking I could do it without any food.

After doing more research, I learned I shouldve done my first cleanse with eating raw veggies or greens with other drinks like green tea. Because I wasnt used to eating, I had major headaches and I couldnt concentrate. Also- I was so crabby and irritable!- so I thought the healthiest thing to do was bring back some food. 

Now I am happy again! LOL

I decided I am still going to drink the drinks but also have food in my diet- I think having probiotics is healthy but everything in moderation- and completely quitting food cold turkey wasnt probably the smartest idea for my first cleanse.

LESSON LEARED! lol.

As I mentioned in my last post, I bought a new fabulous coat from Zara. I am in love! I thought I would take a pic with it so you could see ( I will take more in the future)

Falling Fast Into Fall...

Hey loves!

Hope you had a great weekend. It was so cold and rainy in Minnesota this weekend- the rain wouldn't stop and I finally had to bring out my scarves and boots. 

I can't help but love those rainy and chilly days sometimes because it makes you want to cuddle up in front of the fireplace, and drink some hot chocolate in your favorite comfies, light some pumpkin spice candles and pop in a movie. 

Sounds so amazing! 

This weekend I got to:

- Splurge on my favorite "zebra" hot cocoa from Caribou Coffee- TWICE :)

- I went to Nordstrom rack and bought a couple shirts and a new blazer for fall

- I got to watch 2 movies- the Great Gatsby and World War Z... both great movies. The GB reminded me so much of Moulin Rouge. So if you like that movie- its a definite must see.

- I bought a new pair of boots! They are high heeled... does that still count? ;)

- Racked up on some candles-- I always go for a fresh linen smell but this time I got a herbal tea scented one. 

- Got to pull out my favorite coat!

MBFW Recap, OOTD & Testimony

Hey Everyone! 

Happy Tuesday! 

Its been a minute since I have written a blog post- work has been really busy & somewhat overwhelming. Along with life in general just being busy. 

I couldnt wait to talk about Mercedes Benz Fashion Week! So many great collections this season and I cannot wait to see the celebs wear them.

I am excited London Fashion Week will show! Now that fashion week in NYC is over, its time for me to go shopping for some winter clothes. It has been chilly this week- its getting to that time! But since it ended up being in the sixty's toward the afternoon, I figured to try to fit in a couple more days of summer skirts.

Along with enjoying fashion and the last few days of summer here in Minnesota-

I also would like to share a testimony on how Jesus continues to work in my life- and my family's life. 

I dont know about you, but sometimes- especially when I mess up- I feel down and start feeling lost in who I am, and in my faith. 

Jesus once told me that I would be a light to people and lead them to Him, but I found myself telling Him that I dont feel like a light and how could I possibly ever become one when I mess up a lot or that i hear from people Im close to some pretty negative things. Or they get mad that I talk about Jesus so much. 

Jesus reminded me that even the devil will use family members to bring you down- but to remember that people hated Jesus too- and those people who hated Him were part of the church. He is so faithful to me and He is such an Encourager that I just thanked Him and continued to try to be better.

The Word says that God will confirm is Word in two or three ways. Well, I was talking to someone about things that they were going through and I was just trying my best to be a shoulder for them. They turned to me and said "You know what? Sometimes you are the only light I see sometimes" and even though she didn't know it, she was confirming something for me as I was helping her. And then over the weekend I continued to have people say how much of a light I actually am. I was so thankful because I really needed that lift in my spirits. And I definitely got more than three confirmations! HE IS ALWAYS LISTENING! I love Him so much!

Thats what Jesus does- He brings us together to love, each other, build each other up, and bring us each closer to Him. He is so worthy, isnt He?

The Word says to turn the other cheek, and to be slow to speak, slow to anger, and quick to hear. So even if someone you love is putting you down, just remember by following what Jesus says, you will prosper, no matter what people think. Its about what Jesus thinks! & He always looks at the best in us- He is so good!  & if you do mess up, say some things you probably shouldnt have said, or reacted in ways that arent the best- ask for forgiveness and help to do better. Jesus is always there to forgive and help ANYONE. 

And thats why I call Him my Father- because I simply cant find any fault- & He is so good to me!

Labor Day Weekend Highlight

I hope everyone had an awesome labor day weekend!

My weekend was pretty relaxed- I am thankful!

Life is so hectic- so a relaxing 3 day weekend did me good!

One of the highlights of my weekend was date night on Saturday-

My boyfriend and I went to the Melting Pot ( a fondue restaurant) downtown for a night out just us two. It was a blast! Good food and we got our own private booth with a curtain. Very intimate!

I love this looks for a date night because it is sweet and elegant. Its sexy but is classy- you can never go wrong with that! lol

We had a great time. My favorite part was the dessert! It was a chocolate and peanut butter fondue with a bunch a goodies to dip! My favorite was the rice krispies :)

All- in- all, it was a great weekend. I got to spend time with the people who matter most and we had a great time relaxing and enjoying each others company!

Already getting ready for fall....

Happy Saturday Everyone! 

How was your week?? 

I am so glad its the weekend! Time to relax and do things for you!

Although its still summer, I am already thinking of fall colors, fashion and trends (its my favorite fashion season). So today I had an appointment with my hair stylist and and decided to bring fall colors into my hair- so I did rich red/purple lowlights with a rich dark tone color. I am excited too because I decided to sport bangs again! 

What do you think??

I love sporting bangs in the fall/winter time because the you don't have to worry about sweating or humidity like you do in the summer so they are easier to manage and style!

Tonight is date night with my love so we are going to our favorite spot again, Benihana! lol

I love spending time with him. He makes me laugh so much! After 8 years he still knows how to make me laugh so hard- could you imagine how many inside jokes we have? lol

For date night, I wanted to do something similar to this pictured outfit. I think I got pretty close from what I had in my closet. I like it because its a perfect summer outfit. :) Take a look.

Summer Beach Day/Night

I was on the lake all day with my dad- SO fun! I used to not be a fan of printed pants but I am slowly falling in love with them. What do you think? I also think the tie tops are perfect for the beach or boat because that way you can show a little skin but not feel overdressed while soaking up the sun!
