Look Great This Thanksgiving!

Whether you are hanging with the family, going to meet a significant other's family,  hanging with friends this thanksgiving or simply just wanting to hide the food baby after a feast, here are some fashion ideas to consider for whatever your plans are! :)

Hanging out with the family

Blue denim bottom ups are in this season and pairing it with cigarette jeans would make a perfect outfit. pair it with a scarf and some booties and you are picture ready! ;)

Leggings have almost turned into a basic for some women but this season, leather is back in. pleather leggings look great with anything!

Sweater with leggings and boots.. comfy, cute and fashionable! :)

Meeting the partner's parents

You can never go wrong with wrap dresses. They are appropriate, figure- forming and really accentuate the waist. pair it with a great pair of pumps and you are good to go!

Lace skirts that go to the knew are SO in this year. If you are looking to go more formal for thanksgiving, look for a skirt like this with any modest top you would like! Neutral colors go with anything.

A great casual outfit that is appropriate and fashionable to first meet the parents.

Avoiding the Bulge

Ashley Davenport is a great person to go to for fashion ideas. This is from her own blog but I am using it to show you that oversized sweaters are great if for hiding a stuffed stomach. They will hide any bulge you will have but can still look fashionable.

Cardigans and sweaters are a great way to be fashionable but hide any unwanted areas. In my opinion, wearing a colored cardigan or sweater with a darker color underneath will really hide any unwanted areas and and bulges. :)

Top shoe choice for thanksgiving and going into winter:

I was randomly looking on pinterest and found these bad boys. I love these types of booties for winter. I love the heal, and the fur with the textured bottom to stop you from slipping. :)

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone and make sure to give thanks to the One who deserves it most! God Bless! :)

Anniversary Look!

Having an Anniversary?!

Lets see if I can help you come up with ideas for the special day.

Anniversaries are a little harder to give advice to because it all depends on what you are doing with your partner, what your partner expects of you, and how casual/formal it may be. So ultimately, an anniversary outfit should be what you like and what fits the occasion. Because the day is about you and your partner!

Going on an adventure? Going outdoors?

Make your outfit more fun, flowy, and most of all-- comfortable!
Heres an idea--

Here is a great casual look that is still very stylish, but comfortable too. Great for being outside but not having to get your hands dirty. Exploring the town, Going on a picnic.. whatever it is.. this outfit is great!

This is even more casual, but great attire if you are going to be enjoying strolls on the beach, going on a boat, or doing things that require casual attire and comfortable fitting.

This is a great outfit if you are combining the too. Casual but classy. Great if you are going to be leisurely but at some point have a nice dinner somewhere nice.

Going more formal with your date? These are a few great looks you could try!
This one is great because it is so classy,  but playful with the sleeves, the clutch and the necklace. Great if you are meeting friends, going to a nice upscale dinner, or just wanting to look more formal for you man.

Here is another great look if you are going more formal. Great one pice with an accented necklace and a neutral colored clutch. Great for a modern, upscale night out!

What made me choose Anniversary dress for this post, you wonder?

This post is so special to me because I got to celebrate another anniversary with my best friend!

We had so much fun! We started off with going to look at mansions around Lake Minnetonka and Wayzata (we like to dream lol) and then went to an art fair and walked alongside the lake until we had dinner at a lovely place called "Sunsets". It was so great and because of how great it was, I wanted to make sure I looked great, too! He He.

I bought a magenta skirt that is longer in the back and partnered it with a beige low cut tank top that got brought in on the sides. I accessorized it with a tan belt, and gold accessories.

here is my whole outfit. I added made sure to add my new Michael Kors watch so I could make sure we made out reservations on time! ;) he he. just kidding.

Here we are in front of lake Minnetonka after finishing out lovely dinner. It was os hot outside so I am glad we both dressed the part!

Goofin' around after visiting the Wayzata art fair. He not only made me a song (he is a musician, how romantic.. right?!?) but he also got me creative pictures that looked like letters that spelt my name! Ill have to put it up here sometime.. but how thoughtful he was.!

All in All it was a great, fun filled evening and we finished it with seeing Snow White and the Huntsmen! It was the best day I had in a long time and hope I dressed the part!

If you want more anniversary ideas, Just ask and I would love to help as much as possible! :)

Have a great rest of your weekend!

Until next time.

Look hot at work by spicing up your professional wardrobe

HOLY SMOKES!
It has been TOO long since my last blog post!!

The month of May into June has just been so busy!

There's good new.. I got to enjoy 3 weeks of summer and now I have officially started my AWESOME internship at Target Headquarters as a Merchandise Planning Business Analyst.

Its a great time to be there. The company is thriving and we all know that Target's fashion sense has improve SO much in the last 7 years. Its one of my top places to shop!

Along with their fabulous softlines they offer, their employees dress the part of a multi- billion dollar company. The attire is Business- Professional, BUT Target team members really know how to spice up what could be a blah wardrobe.

Using Target's great fashion sense as an inspiration, let me pass on how to SPICE UP YOUR WORK ATTIRE! :-)

Who said professional dress had to be blab? This is 2012!

It is no longer the era of neutral colors. It is all about bright, bold, exuberant!

Here's some examples on how you can be BOLD but still be classy and professional.

But first.. what do I mean by professional.

TIPS:
1. NO CLEAVAGE
2. Nothing above the knee
3. No showing of shoulders ( depends on empoyers)
4. No showing of the back

Basically, be modest and CLASSY! Dont show anything your dad wouldnt want you to show :)

Lets take a look at great styles that you can use as a reference while shopping for work!

(See captions for why styles could work for you at work)

This is a simpler looks, but an A- line skirt is always good for a professional environment. Add it with a nice polka dot blouse and nude shoes and you can never go wrong! For any occasion, actually! :)

This one is great. Good length BUT if your employer does not allow any shoulders, I wouldn't recommend wearing this, even with a blazer, because of the shape of the dress. It would make you look bigger than you are, even though its black! Great bag and shoes, though :-)

So European! :-) High wasted slacks with a blazer.. great for a normal day at  the office :)

This one is one of my favorites. ALthough the dress could be longer, I love the flirty turquoise accent color :) and then the neutral color bag to offset the bright colors. Great look and I love lace! One of my favorites.. great for a summer look! ;)

Put the sleeves on the top of the shoulders, and you have a great work look! Colored skirts are in and the length is perfect! For work, you could definitely team this dress with a black blazer to look more professional and tie the outfit together.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Neutral colors but perfect length of the skirt and the shirt shows NO cleavage! Great accent color, too! Nude shoes never lose!

Modern, professional, sleek, sexy. Love this.

Colored blazers! Helps put focus on that rather than your may-be unwanted areas! (tummy)

Cropped slacks are SO in right now! I have bought 3 pairs and am loving it!

Dah Dah Duuuunnn! This is my FAVE! BOLD BOLD BOLD... dress could be longer but the colors but bold is IN and you can look modest sporting it.

Here are great ideas that are again, modest, but GREAT for casual Fridays.. which we all love ;)

Hope you guys got some ideas for this coming work week! Stay fashionable & professional! ;) :)

See you again soon,

xoxo

Celebrating Italian Designers at the Met Ball

The Met Ball was invented to celebrate the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum's fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute. This is wear celebrities come out and celebrate great fashion, and support the costume institue and the museum.

They have dinner, cocktails, partnered with performances and after parties. It is a great night of high end fashion and good times.

This year, there was so many great designs by Italian designers. With my love for everything Italian, this was such a great event to me! :)

Have you seen the fashion?
Lets take a look at who wore the best... and who got the worst dressed trophy!

Best Dressed:

It probably wasn't hard to guess for my regular viewers, but my girl Beyonce won the best dressed category that night.

Wearing Givenchy, she dazzled in that sheer gown with the purple accented train.

Second Place is my girl, Jessica Alba wearing Michael Kors

Camille Bell in Ralph Lauren

Scarlett Johansson in Dolce & Gabbana

 Sophia Vergara in Marchesa

 Paula Patton in Vera Wang

Rihanna in Tom Ford

Lala teamed with Hubby Carmello Anthony

One of my other favorites! Nina Dobrev in NY designer Donna Karen

So who was the worst dressed... it is no secret!!

Sarah Jessica Parker!

I hope everyone enjoyed all the designs as much as I did!

Have a great week!
