Christian Louboutin Cap Toe Pump!

Is Kim trying to be Kanye's Beyonce through shoes??

It may be so!

After Beyonce was spotted at the Knicks game sporting the Louboutin pump, Kim was spotted wearing a black pair a few days after while out with Kanye.

Probably total coincidence! But I love the shoe so I thought I would share this "it" shoe for my post today!

Beyonce and Hubby having a beer at the Knicks game while sporting her Loubi's with some great leopard pants.

Who wore it best to you??

Happy Tuesday!

Look & Feel Good in you skin.. & your clothes!

So I was asked to do a post about how to find clothes that will better fit your shape.. No matter what size you are. Those who wanted it, your wish has been granted!

Today I am going to talk to you and help those in need to find certain colors, fits, styles and patterns that would better work for your figure.

One thing I want people to remember through all of this is to not pay attention to the size tags! Focus on finding things that make you look and feel great. Don't feel bad if the price tag says you are bigger or smaller than you want to be.

So to start, I think the best thing to do for this kind of posting is to show through pictures. That way you can get a visual idea of what point I am getting across!

Rectangle Shape

Jewellery, chocolates, shoes… So many great things come in rectangle packages! Are you one of them? You most likely have a Rectangle body shape if:
o Your bust and shoulders are approximately the same width as your hips
o Your waist is not very defined, and is less than 8” smaller than your bust and hips
o You may have a broad back and a full neck, and your bust is small to medium in size
o You have proportionally slim legs and arms, and generally a flatter behind

The ultimate goal of all figures is to create an hourglass silhouette. The rectangle shape is well balanced and the focus should be on creating a defined waistline to create the illusion of a narrower waist.
V-necklines, U-necklines and other similar tops open your neckline and visually elongate your frame to balance out your wide torso. Tops that cinch just under the bust or at the waist will be flattering to your figure. Likewise, tops with details at the bust such as beading, sequins or ruffles will also be flattering.

You can also add dimension to your frame by using colors, patterns and accessories to break up your silhouette and create the illusion of curves. When wearing separates, a patterned top paired with a solid bottom and a thick belt at the waist or low slung around the hips will create the illusion of curves and dimension. Boot cut pants and fuller skirts such as A-line skirts and ones with pleats add a little volume to the hips to create the illusion of a curvy silhouette.
When you have legs, show them off! When I am feeling more bloated of I feel as though my stomach looks unflattering in something, I always pair my outfit up with a stylish jacket that will take the eyes away from my stomach. Its all about directing the eyes in certain places!

Notice how this model leads the eye to right under her bust with a low V neck dress and a tightening right under the bust. Also, adding those dark colors and patterns will create an illusion and hide all the unliked areas.

I like this picture because it shows a great jean cut with a patterned top and cropped cardigan. Perfect for a rectangle shape. Tucking in the shirt "seperates" the figure and adds curviture throught the cut in the jean and the top. wearing a pattern top hides the tummy and with the v neck shirts helps focus on the bust. Also notice she is adding bold jewelry to the outfit. Great focal point!

Great shirt to have if rectangle shaped. the shirt gets brought in right under the bust to add curve to your figure and notice the V neck!

floral top to with solid bottoms is a great way to seperate parts of your figure and create a feel and look of a curvy sillouhette. notice the pointy toes to longate the legs to add length to her figure and curves. Adding a thin belt also creates a illusion of curves.

Having patterns in different places helps the eye to travel. Also, those who have a fuller wasteline I always suggest wrap dresses or dresses that have a diagonal pattern or tie. It helps you look thinner.

Seperating the figure is an important factor in creating a hourglass look. Love this!

You guys are lucky because wearing bold jewelry is a huge benefit! Pair your outfits with jewelry that shine and will not only accentuate your outfit, but add to your sillouhette!

Hourglass Shape
Probably the most coveted of curvy shapes is the hourglass. It’s never too late to show off your classic curves! You are an Hourglass shape if:
o Your bust and hips are curvy, and similarly proportioned
o You waist is defined, approximately 8-12” smaller than your bust and hips
o If you gain weight, it is generally distributed evenly throughout your body

Although the hourglass shape is said to be the most desirable shape for a woman, believe me, its not the easiest to dress. It is hard because one can be top and bottom heavy with a thinner waist, therefore causing problems with fitting pants, and getting a shirt to look and fit correctly.

So if you are an hourglass shape, you want to really emphasize your waist. Show of that teeny part of your body! You can do that by wearing:
  • V-Neck tops that are tighter in the waistline
  • Belts around the middle of the waist to emphasize the curve
Pants that are the best to wear for those with this particular shape are boot cut or slightly flared jeans. Although, I wear stretchy "jeggings" that tend to be "skinnier" jeans. I will say they make me look bigger than I feel a boot cut jean would make me look.

Here is some outfits that could work for you :)
Great dress. Emphasizing the bust and then tightning around the waist. such a gorgeous look for someone who can pull it off.

you know KK would make it up on the hourglass figure section. Again, Tighten the waist to accentuate your curves and notice the V neck!

Great flared Jean that Salma has on. Flared is a good look for hourglass figures!

Great boot cut jean for the beautiful and curvacious Scarlett Johansson! Adding high heels will make you look taller and leaner.

Apple Shape
If your waist or upper hip measurements are greater than your lower hip measurement (the widest part of your butt), you most likely have an Apple body shape. Apple shapes usually have:
o A top heavy shape
o Thinner legs and a flatter bottom
o Wider, defined shoulders
o A more generous bust and especially a larger waistline and stomach.

Things to focus on with your dresscode if you are an apple shape are:

  • Wearing V neck shirts, darker colored.
  • Wearing shirts with an empire waistline to emphasize the bust and take the eye away from your waist.
  • wear straight line pants to create an even look from head to toe.
  • Find a skirt that will minimize your mid section. ( A skirt with a full sillouhette or a skirt that has a higher waistline. Dont wear mini- skirts!)

Celebrities Queen Latifah and Sara Ramirez (Grey’s Anatomy) are both confident Apple shapes that know how to dress for their bodies.

Here are some great examples you could show off! :)
This is great. A straight leg jean with a printed top that is a loose fit with the lower part of the shirt that tightens to create an illusion of an hourglass shape. The necklace is bold and directs the eye down to the slimmer part of the shirt and the jean.

Good example of a formal dress for an apple shape. Although very form fitting, notice that it has an empire waistline and V neckline to emphasize the bust and create an hourglass effect.

Heres a cute casual look. Again that empire waistline with a flowy bottom and a great pattern and color. having a bright color but putting it with dark colors will help tone down the brightness of the outfit. Great choice!

Pear Shape
If your hip measurement is quite a bit greater than your bust measurement, consider yourself a Pear shape!  Pear shapes usually have:

  •  A bottom heavy shape
  • A thin and slender neck
  •  Narrow or sloping shoulders
  • Larger and more generous lower hips and thighs

Pear shapes are such a great shape (in my opinion!) you have a small top but those nice hips! Some say its hard though to not gain too much weight in the hip area. But anyways, if you have a pear shape, here are things to focus on to make the most of your sillouhette! :)

  • Wear darker jeans with lighter or patterned tops. It will bring people's attention upward instead of downward and hide all the unwanted areas of your lower half.
  • Show off your bustline and shoulders! You are petite on top, so I bet you have some beautiful shoulders! Show them off as well as your bust and create that hourglass effect.
  • Wear jackets and blazers. It will create an even look down your figure.
  • Gor for clean, tailored lines on your pants.
  • Wear flared jeans to help relieve the wideness of your hip area.
Follow in the footsteps of celebrities like Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez who have popularized this feminine body shape and celebrate your curves!
Great look for B. Wearing the dark jeans we talked about with a lighter top and making use of that jacket!

Same with Alicia, Wearing very dark jeans, a lower neckline shirt and a bright jacket to lead the eyes in the middle of her figure.

I put this pic up because of the deep neckoine and flared jeans. Lookin good!

This may be hard to see but you can notice the flared jean and lighter top to take away from her hips! Because we all know she has some! ;)

I hope this helped you guys! Let me know if you have any questions or if you feel I left anything out!

Love you ALL!

Lets Talk: Shoes

Now that everyone is getting in the mood for Spring (atleast here in MN we are), I am going to do a post on the Fashion color trends of the season as well as what shoes you should be caught wearing this Spring/Summer season!

Colors

Provocative Tangerine Tango, an enticing juicy orange, is a vivacious and appealing refresher to enliven anyone's outlook this spring. Providing a jolt of energy, Solar Power radiates warmth and cheer.

Fanciful Bellflower, a distinct ornamental purple, exudes uniqueness and creativity. Scintillating and sexy, Cabaret is a sensual and intense rosy-red — an excellent
choice for summer clothing and cosmetics.

Sodalite Blue, a classic maritime hue, brings order and calmness to mind. This dependable shade works with every color in the palette.
Cockatoo, a tactile blue-green, is sure to make your spirits soar. This unusual hue
adds a whimsical touch to the palette and will surely make a statement this spring.

Margarita, a piquant yellow-green, lifts spirits with its refreshing and stimulating glow. Reminiscent of a blossoming garden on an early spring morning, fragrant Sweet Lilac evokes the fresh scents of summer. This delicate pinkish lilac adds a touch of romance
to any wardrobe.

All of these women are wearing great colors to go with the trends this season. Pay attention to the bright pinks, turquoise, Tangerines of different hues and also the shoes! Kardashian is sporting a nude pointy toed- high platform pump and flats are of course the "everyday wear" shoe every girl has! What is so great about these colors is that you can mix and match them so easy!!

Are you ready to see what shoes you should be looking for?
Here we go!

Of course nude heels have become the new black pump. But pay attention how the heel is becoming more pointed for this season. Because pointy pumps are back in! These lovely pumps are Michael Kors, $195.

Pumps are my favorite shoe. They are so comfortable and so stylish for any occasion. Here is Michael Kors again and you can get his lovely wedge for $350. Notice also how the gold is metallic, which we will get to later.
High platform shoes are in! You can see them everywhere you go this season. with the thick heel and high platform, no need to worry about how short you are! :) This is again Michael Kors for $135.
Pointy Toed- printed heels are back! Here is a Miu Miu pump from his Sp/Summer 2012 line for $580

The traditional black pump is perfect for any occasion, but again, notice the pointy toed.. no longer round! This is Nine West for $120.
Glitter, Glam and Metallics are in! So those who like to go bold with you wardrobe, your chance is now! Here is an Alexander Mcqueen pump that he featured in this season's line. I love the heal on this! And notice the color :)

Go Big or Go Home, Right? Here is another example of the metallic bold look that designers are going for. This is a Loubiton

You cant forget the gold, sparkly, pointy toed shoe! This is a shoe I adore and would love to wear. Another way to shine this season! :)
One shoe that was featured highly in the Paris Fashion Week shows this season was the ankle strap shoe. And why wouldnt they!? They are adorable and can fit any occasion. Not only just ankle strap shoes, but buckled, lace, and sandal heels are in too! This shoe I love!
Love these styles of the ankle strap shoes. One other type of shoe that is in this season that I didnt mention above is see- through heels. Like the top one shown here. They arent particularly my favorite but they are still rockable! ;)

And you know I cant forget about my Men viewers! Here are some great shoes that you could rock for any occasion... and you know me.. I will always say  "Dress to impress for your lady!"

This is one of my favorites. This is a Lanvin shoes that is a great color for all different color wardrobes. Perfect for a casual day.
Colors all around! These Prada Men's shoes are great for any type of day with something you want to match! Love it!

This is a tennis shoe from one of my personal favorite designers, DSquared. This is for the funky male that loves to create his own style. Love this, again lol
I have always been a huge fan of Loubiton women's shoes, but this right here is a great shoe, too! Great color, style and fit. This could fit in any man's wardrobe!

This Pierre Hardy shoe is a great example of how men can wear the color trends of the season too. Great Shoe to wear with Any light or dark colored top. This shoe would look great teamed up with a blazer!

I just had to feature a men's Tod's shoe. He is one of my favorite designers for men's shoes and although this may throw some guys off, you would be surprised how great this would look with your favorite pair of jeans. Every guy needs a pair of blue suede shoes :) HEHE

Well that wraps it up for today! Show off your personality with the great colors featured for this season and never talk yourself out of buying a great pair of shoes. Just keep in mind this season's trends and you will sure to get the double take everyone loves! :)

Happy Thursday Everyone! :))

Pregnancy Fashion: Hide or Emphasize

When I was out shopping with my sister the other day, I couldn't help but notice the cute maternity clothes that some places had, even Target! In honor of my sister (& many others) being pregnant, I decided to do a pregnant fashion post because there are so many cute, fun, fashionable designs our for the spring/summer.

Whether you are trying to cover and hide the bump, or emphasize it, here are some looks that maybe you would like to try, or your friend/sister/mother/cousin/daughter would like to try! :)

Although we dont all feel like we could be this cute while pregnant, we sure can try! :)  In a recent interview with Miranda Kerr on Ellen, she explained how taking proper vitamins was essential for her during pregnancy to bounce back quickly, along with using good lotion on her body multiple times a day!

With the fashion: Although this is a high fashion dress, this is something you could go for if you are going to something more formal, even when pregnant! Black is a natural slimming color so although it may not completely cover your bump, it will help with the slimming of you figure and help hide it a little bit.

I love Kourtney Kardashians fashion sense! This would be my personal way of dressing to impress while pregnant. A flowy black top with a blazer is a great way to cover the bump and look slimming. Who said you cant wear pleather pants while pregnant??
Wearing a printed top will take away from your growing bum as well. Jessica added a jacket on top to add accent her outfit. Did she have the baby yet??? lol

For those who want to emphasize your bump, this is a tasteful way to do that. A deep V neckline with a tight band along the waste emphasizes her bump and the polka dots vs. a solid color help keep the eye traveling than just focusing on one area AKA your baby bump.

This is a cute semi-poncho jacket that would be so cute to wear while pregnant. I personally love this style trench coat and would totally rock this!

Is this not adorable? I love daring moms that can wear heels while pregnant! A simple tee and jeans with a faux fur vest and heels. Great way to have a simple, yet stylish look!
Another casual outfit for everyday, pregnant or not! adding a jacket and scarf is a great way to emphasize the outfit and keep the eye traveling rather than being focused on one thing.

This dress is a PERFECT dress to wear to help cover your baby bump. Great for summer but the ruffles will help add texture to the outfit so it will blend your baby bump better then without the dress gathering.

Those are just some styles that you could try. Pregnancy Fashion is one of my favorites because you get to add fun styles with such a beautiful thing! Here are some celebs that keep in style :)

Jessica Alba

Who doesnt love Jessica Alba??? From her quirky, bubbly personality to her rockin looks .. she is hard not to love. With her different looks she tries while pregnant, you can hardly even notice that she is indeed pregnant! Wearing jackets over your outfits is once again a great way to "camouflage" your baby bump :)
Beyonce Knowles
You know I can't forget about Beyonce! Not only am I her number one fan, but I idolize her on her sense of fashion. Here is some of her fun pregnancy looks.

Who said you cant wear a short, shiny cocktail dress when pregnant?? Beyonce doesnt take no for an answer to doing that and wearing her usual high heels. The design of the dress and the jacket over it camouflages her baby bump well. Does she look beautiful or what?!?

8 months pregnant... Can you tell??? Couldve fooled me. Covering her bump with a jacket and scarf made her look like she did 8 months before! Great look!
Some women may argue that they dont want to spend the money on maternity clothes because they will continue to grow and be done with them after 9 months. BUT you can get great deals on some maternity clothes and if you choose carefully, like black shirts, dresses, different blazers.. you can wear them for every pregnancy. Some things just dont go out of style!

Also, if you dont think you will use them again or keep them for later pregnancy, getting great fashion will make it easier to get rid of them (like sell them or donate them) than throw them away. Your friends in family will be more interested in your pregnancy hand me downs.

I have found great deals on pregnancy things (not for me haha) at places like Target, JCpenny, Nordstrom, Macy's, etc..

Try it! Embrace your baby bump through fashion! :)
