Women with insecurities! Be happy with who you are!

WRONG!

So many girls and women in America are struggling to lose weight and gain a flawless image and perfect figure. There is such a fear of gaining weight and being "fat".

Here is someone who weighs 84 lbs! And is being viewed around the world as an international SEX SYMBOL!
They call her the "human hourglass"
This is disappointing because an hourglass isn't skin and bones!
Women are meant to be curvy, have excess fat and every woman is made the way they are for a reason.

View this and I hope that women everywhere can get even 1 minute of being happy with how they look and who they are.

[You are beautiful the way you are!!!]

Beauty is only skin deep.

Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes :)

The most important thing is to be healthy. Eat well and exercise. Make goals for yourself but make them realistic and learn to be happy, healthy. :)

Getting Intimate

Normally, I would publish posts about fashion, look of the days, how to's or anything that has inspired me.
Today, I am getting [up close & personal] with things that have been going on in my life.

First I wanted to start off saying that I have learned so much in that last weeks.
I have been going through a lot of big shifts in my life and was forced to view certain things from a different perspective.

That different perspective changed my life.

When I was having these troubles, I didn't rely on anyone. I decided to keep what  I was feeling to myself and go on each day trying to be as positive as I could.

But it didn't work.

Why?

First, Because instead of dealing with the nitty gritty stuff inside of me, like I should have, I kept it all in. Second, when I was relying on myself, I should have been relying on God.

I got to the point I couldn't do it myself, so I turned to Jesus.

I prayed, I cried, I was afraid.. but when I prayed, I prayed for happiness, peace, and confirmation on what things I needed to change, improve on, or just keep the same about myself.

He answered ALL my prayers.
He didn't just bring me happiness, he brought me joy.
He didn't just bring me confirmation, he brought be counsel.
He didn't just help me realize the things I need to improve on or keep the same, He changed me for the better.
When I had the feeling of being a failure, he showed me that I am anything but a failure.
He showed me I am not only a good person, I am a person of high QUALITY.
He made me see that the things that we happening were things not in my control. And to not blame myself.

It has been a short period of time since I decided to look to Jesus.
How he could bring me from such a low point, to such a high is remarkable!
Although he showed me there is nothing wrong with who I am, he makes me strive to only get better.

He taught me to stay true to myself.
& to not be bitter or resentful towards people or things that have hurt me, but continue to pray for them and their happiness, prosperity, and relationship with God.

He is such a wonderful God! I give so much thanks to Him!

When I put him first, all of the mainstream, immature, crazy, stupid things that everyone worries about no longer matters! Because I have Jesus on my side!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
He is the joy and ruler in my life!

Going Forward, I have set some short term goals for myself.
  1. Become more involved in church, like Sunday School.
  2. Spend more time with the people that matter, like my family and friends.
  3. Become more involved with the community & become more involved in things that make a difference.
  4. DONATE MORE!
  5. Focus on my blog
  6. Continue on my weight loss adventure.

Thank you to everyone that was willing to listen to my intimate story.

xoxo

Attention all bloggers!

Other bloggers and myself are teaming up with the A21 Campaign, which is a campaign that raises funds to fight against sex trafficking, to raise money for the campaign and also do a drawing for those who donate!

Its a great opportunity for anyone to donate and give to those who are in need.

What is a better than helping those in harmful, abusive situations??

If you are interested, please comment and let me know!

We would love for you to be on the team against sex trafficking!

The Month of Fashion Week has begun!

I am so excited to announce that February is the month of NYC/ Mercedes Benz Fashion Week
Starting: Feb 9- 16.

Then MN Fashion Week will start Feb19- 26!
I am so excited and can't wait to feature some of the new Fall 2012 looks on my blog.
Stay tuned!

Countdown: 7 days

For now, lets take a look back on some of last years trends.
Fall 2011
I was in Milan, Italy at the time so I am going to show trends from Milano Fashion Week last year.

DSquared2 has become one of my favorite designers. They are new- coming designers but when they made their appearance, they came with a BAGN! loving these pieces, the color of the jacket against the fade of the jeans look great and just look at the detail on the jacket! Padded shoulders are in! And the maroon gloves are a nice contrast against the blue.

Gianfranco Ferre Fall 2011 Collection piece, that later on you could see JLO wearing. Love the tan and gold tones (one of my favorites!) and low bust line. Perfect!

Gucci Fall 2011 Collection. Again, low bust-line but look at the slit in the leg! Seductive but great color (goes great with dark toned skin and hair). Hugs the waist slightly to add curve to the silhouette. Beautiful!

A beautiful black Dolce & Gabbana gown. Fitted in the waist, flowy below the navel. My FAVORITE!
(Spring 2011 runway)

But one of my [FAVORITE] runway collections through out last year was....

Gucci's Spring/Summer 2011 collections!!

I just love the use of colors Gucci used in his designs and how he accented them with gold belts, shoes, and clutches.
The way he used warm tones with cooler tones worked so well together. And what better way to look more luxurious than to wear gold?

Just loved it!

This last dress-- I would die for! open back halter with such detail all over! My perfect dress!
