Look hot at work by spicing up your professional wardrobe

HOLY SMOKES!
It has been TOO long since my last blog post!!

The month of May into June has just been so busy!

There's good new.. I got to enjoy 3 weeks of summer and now I have officially started my AWESOME internship at Target Headquarters as a Merchandise Planning Business Analyst.

Its a great time to be there. The company is thriving and we all know that Target's fashion sense has improve SO much in the last 7 years. Its one of my top places to shop!

Along with their fabulous softlines they offer, their employees dress the part of a multi- billion dollar company. The attire is Business- Professional, BUT Target team members really know how to spice up what could be a blah wardrobe.

Using Target's great fashion sense as an inspiration, let me pass on how to SPICE UP YOUR WORK ATTIRE! :-)

Who said professional dress had to be blab? This is 2012!

It is no longer the era of neutral colors. It is all about bright, bold, exuberant!

Here's some examples on how you can be BOLD but still be classy and professional.

But first.. what do I mean by professional.

TIPS:
1. NO CLEAVAGE
2. Nothing above the knee
3. No showing of shoulders ( depends on empoyers)
4. No showing of the back

Basically, be modest and CLASSY! Dont show anything your dad wouldnt want you to show :)

Lets take a look at great styles that you can use as a reference while shopping for work!

(See captions for why styles could work for you at work)

This is a simpler looks, but an A- line skirt is always good for a professional environment. Add it with a nice polka dot blouse and nude shoes and you can never go wrong! For any occasion, actually! :)

This one is great. Good length BUT if your employer does not allow any shoulders, I wouldn't recommend wearing this, even with a blazer, because of the shape of the dress. It would make you look bigger than you are, even though its black! Great bag and shoes, though :-)

So European! :-) High wasted slacks with a blazer.. great for a normal day at  the office :)

This one is one of my favorites. ALthough the dress could be longer, I love the flirty turquoise accent color :) and then the neutral color bag to offset the bright colors. Great look and I love lace! One of my favorites.. great for a summer look! ;)

Put the sleeves on the top of the shoulders, and you have a great work look! Colored skirts are in and the length is perfect! For work, you could definitely team this dress with a black blazer to look more professional and tie the outfit together.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Neutral colors but perfect length of the skirt and the shirt shows NO cleavage! Great accent color, too! Nude shoes never lose!

Modern, professional, sleek, sexy. Love this.

Colored blazers! Helps put focus on that rather than your may-be unwanted areas! (tummy)

Cropped slacks are SO in right now! I have bought 3 pairs and am loving it!

Dah Dah Duuuunnn! This is my FAVE! BOLD BOLD BOLD... dress could be longer but the colors but bold is IN and you can look modest sporting it.

Here are great ideas that are again, modest, but GREAT for casual Fridays.. which we all love ;)

Hope you guys got some ideas for this coming work week! Stay fashionable & professional! ;) :)

See you again soon,

xoxo
